OFFICE LANDLORDS ROLL OUT NEW PERKS
Office-building owners throughout the country are increasing their offerings as they try to become more competitive. Tishman Speyer, the owner of Rockefeller Center in Manhattan, is rolling out a range of amenities. Workers in this complex can now get emergency day care, 15-minute meal delivery and visits from manicurists and hairstylists. Their goal is to fundamentally change the expectations that people have from their office building.
This is one of many examples of Landlords that are becoming more competitive because of the rent and occupancy trends. Employers have taken into consideration the fact that work environments need to support more than just work. Services may vary depending on the market and the culture of the company but this is the new direction the industry is headed.
